Joey Dunlop’s body is pretty much done now on my 2000 125 Ultra Lightweight Isle of Man TT oil painting. I will complete his left glove when doing his left leg too. This is just a detail crop from the full painting.
Here’s my oil painting of Legendary TT racer Joey Dunlop in the 2000 Ultra Lightweight TT on his beloved 125 two stroke Honda motorcycle. This short work in progress time-lapse and shows the section of Joey’s Arai Crash helmet being painted.
Just for fun here is my drawing of Cheryl taken from the 2017 L’oréal February photoshoot.
This was a lovely drawing to produce as it shows Cheryl glowing in her pregnancy. Cheryl and Liam Payne from One Direction are expecting their first child around Mothers Day in the UK, 26th March 2017.
Cheryl who has been a regular Judge on the X-Factor alongside Simon Cowell is also a highly successful solo singing artist as well as being part of the hugely successful girl group ‘Girls Aloud’.

Could it be simple to solve the NHS £886 Million pound deficit in 2017? Is it the fault of the Rich, the Super Rich, Tax Avoidance, Bad Government?.. Or is there a simple solution?
Here from my art studio where I normally do my drawings, paintings and how to draw videos I listen to the radio, like so many of you, and hear the news. So here are some simple thoughts, not a rant, from a simpleton. Musing whether there is a solution that can very quickly sort out the NHS, not just now but here after too.
There are some simple mathematics involved and it could be that a few could sort this out – or many – or a combination of the two.
So get a brew and listen to my thoughts on this subject in this short Youtube Video. My links to the articles in the video are below.

In October 2016 I was contacted by Craig Watson, UK Sales Director of Kawasaki UK, about a possible painting of Jonathan Rea as it was looking ever likely that Jonathan would win back to back World Superbike championship titles on the ZX-10R.
When it came to the last race weekend at Local International Circuit in Qatar Jonathan secured the WSB title in the first race and the secret project began.
Kawasaki UK commissioned this oil on linen canvas painting of Jonathan Rea riding the Factory Kawasaki ZX-10R Superbike when he became the 2016 World Superbike Champion.
The oil painting shows Jonathan piloting his ZX-10R Superbike at the Losail International Circuit in his custom double WSBK Champion Gold Arai crash helmet.
I then had to work 12-15 hour days to complete the art to dry in time to be given to Jonathan. The oil painting was presented to Jonathan Rea at the Cornmarket Motorcycle Awards on January 27th 2017. Where Howard Dale , General Manager of Kawasaki UK and Craig Watson the UK Sales Director, also presented him with an ‘Outstanding Achievement Award’ as he was the first rider in World Superbikes to win back to back titles for 17 years since Carl Fogarty. Jonathan also won the Joey Dunlop Trophy, for Irish Motorcyclist of the Year, back to back and for the fourth time in total.
My beginners art tutorial ‘How to Draw Anything! The Basics Part 1 Using Shapes’ on youtube has now had over 200,000 views (As of February 15th 2017).
I produced this video in 2014 showing simple techniques that I learned from many books over 30 years ago about drawing and distilling them into a short 22 minute real time video to simply encourage people to have a go at drawing and to enjoy art.
Since then it has been lovely getting lots of comments that this simple art lesson has helped many people to enjoy drawing and develop their artistic creativity.
